Place & Planet
“Place and Planet” is the inaugural theme of the I-Hum Project and will run from the fall 2021 until the spring 2024. The scholarship, programming and teaching on this theme is designed by the four interdisciplinary faculty leaders, Bruno Carvalho, Joyce Chaplin, Sarah Dimick, and Tiya Miles. The spring semester course in the Undergraduate Scholars Initiative connects students to the research of these faculty leaders, who co-teach “HUM 93 Mahindra Scholars Lab: Place and Planet.” Each year, the Mahindra Humanities Center provides fellowships for postdocs and graduate students interested in pursuing research that relates to the theme “Place and Planet.”
